| VANGUARDIA : Movement of Cuban art that from 1926 to 1949 influenced every aspect of the Cuban scene. The vanguardist reaction of the 20's, started a new movement for cuban painting. This modern movement had it's first and most important exhibit in 1927, sponsored by 'Avance' magazine.
